Lawrence B. Cohen, MD ,  is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine and Associate Attending Physician at the Mount Sinai Medical Center and School of Medicine in New York City. In addition to his clinical positions, Dr. Cohen serves as Director of the Digestive Disease Research Foundation and the President of the Research Association of New York. 

 Dr. Cohen received his undergraduate degree cum laude from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree with top honors from Hahnemann Medical College where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor medical society. He completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

 Dr. Cohen has practiced gastroenterology for 23 years. His expertise in medicine and gastroenterology are recognized internationally. He is listed among the Top Doctors in New York by Castle Connolly as well as The Best Doctors in America. He is an active member of the Division of Gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Hospital, recognized as one of the top five gastroenterology centers in the United States, according to U.S. News and World Report.

 In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Cohen actively participates in teaching activities at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, serving five years as Director of the Gastrointestinal Pathophysiology course and twenty years as Director of the Gastrointestinal Motility Laboratory.   

 His research has focused on esophageal disease, colorectal cancer, and endoscopy. He has published more than 200 book chapters, articles, and abstracts, and he is asked to speak around the world on issues related to endoscopy and sedation. Dr. Cohen sits on the editorial review board for numerous medical journals including Gastroenterology, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Journal Gastroenterology, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics.

 Dr. Cohen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He has served on committees or subcommittees for all three major professional societies of gastroenterology.

 

 


James Aisenberg, MD, FACP Associate clinical professor of medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital. His research focuses on endoscopic diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal diseases, and has appeared in peer-reviewed medical journals. He has lectured widely at international gastroenterology conferences. Dr. Aisenberg is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School.



Kenneth M. Miller, MD, Clinical instructor of medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Research includes colorectal cancer screening and the development of new technologies for therapeutic endoscopy applications. He has numerous publications to his credit, and has presented at conferences around the world. Dr. Miller has a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease and serves as Principal Investigator on our clinical trials for Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
