Research Associates of New York (RANY) is a network of private physician practices that participate in clinical trials in addition to their clinical practices.  Founded in 1998 by Dr. Lawrence B. Cohen, RANY serves the population of greater New York City by offering people a chance to try new medications and devices through their participation in clinical trials.

Our administrative offices are conveniently located on east 79th street in Manhattan and our network physicians are within walking distance of our main offices. In addition to our basic staff of 4 board certified gastroenterologists/internists, director of operations, lead study coordinator, 4 research assistants and 2 medical assistants, the network is composed of a growing list of pulmonologists, cardiologists, endocrinologists, neurologists, dermatologists, rheumatologists, psychiatrists, allergists, and pain, infectious disease, women’s health and obesity specialists.
